Search engine optimization (SEO) is the process of increasing the quality and quantity ofwebsite traffic by increasing the visibility of a website or a web page to users of a websearch engine.
As an Internet marketing strategy, SEO considers how search engines work, thecomputer-programmed algorithms that dictate search engine behavior, what peoplesearch for, the actual search terms or keywords typed into search engines, and whichsearch engines are preferred by their targeted audience.
SEO is performed because a website will receive more visitors from a search engine thehigher the website ranks in the search engine results page (SERP). These visitors canthen be converted into customers. The leading search engines, such as Google, Bing,and Yahoo!, use crawlers to find pages for their algorithmic search results. Pages thatare linked from other search engine indexed pages do not need to be submitted because they are found automatically.

On-page SEO (also called on-site SEO) refers to optimizing multiple components within a website. The goal is to set up your site’s pages to land at the top of search engine results and capture more traffic. You affect the likelihood of this by optimizing the content, architecture and the HTML code of your website.
2. Off-page Optimization
Unlike On-page SEO, Off-page SEO refers to activities you can perform outside theboundaries of your website. Search engines have been trying for decades to find a way to return the best results tothe searcher. To achieve this, they take into account the on-site SEO factors, someother quality factors, and off-page SEO.
